I take it that out-driving a developing tornado is something you do once in a lifetime, right? I sure hope so.

My nerves are shot. I'm going to bed. Welcome home to me indeed.

You know, despite wanting to huggle you so that you're not a mess anymore (because I can imagine you are, after that), I wanted to say that I've actually always wanted to do that ... does that make me crazy?
10th-May-2006 02:37 pm (UTC)
No, cause Me too! ;)
10th-May-2006 02:44 pm (UTC)
Well I kinda have too, but under the circumstances-- it wasn't fun. It's something you should do with a friend. Not in the pitch blackness by yourself.

Aha, it's not supposed to storm today, is it ... because I don't think I could take it today ...

I'm glad you have good weather for your travels!!! :) Mine wasn't that bad until I hit about Muskogee. From then on was rainy then BAM! tornado in Texas.

Muskogee.

That's such a fun word.

Muskogee. Just say it out loud. FUN. Muskogee.

There's an Amish Cheese House there too! There's a lot of fun town names in Oklahoma. EVEN BETTER billboards. There was one for a bovine growth hormone that said it was performance and carcass tested. Now, I don't know what that means, but it sure sounds like a winner!

OMG. For REAL. AHAHAHAHAHA.

You know, I have too. BUT--- being put in the situation after 7 or so hours of driving after a really long day kind of stinks. Plus, the area I was driving through was major country and pitch black. So if it were to come, I'd have no idea of where it was coming from. There'd be street lights every now and again that I could glimpse at what was happening. At least it woke me up.

Yeah, the whole darkness thing was probably no good.
10th-May-2006 03:32 pm (UTC)
It was a little on the intimidating side.
10th-May-2006 02:37 pm (UTC)
umm.... are you okay?
10th-May-2006 02:45 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I'm okay now. I was just really freaked out by it last night when I got home. In perspective, it was really kind of cool after I slept it off... I think. I'm pretty sure I'm still in shock over the whole situation.

I take it you made it home in one peice so thank goodness for that. (((BIG HUGS)))

Aha!! Yeah-- I'm in one piece. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Wow. My bad.

*big hugs and lots of confetti*
23rd-May-2006 12:18 am (UTC) - hey, stranger.
oooh tornado season.
how i both love and hate you.
everyone around here likes to sit out on their porches and quite literally watch the tornadoes destroy their barns and trees and fields. i do not understand the logic in this, but at least trying to drive away from it is well, logical.

Hello stranger, indeed!

It's an alright season, I just don't like it when it's late at night, I've been driving over 10 hours, and I find out the next morning that it killed people. It just doesn't go over so well in my book. But I'm alright now.

Yeah, you know-- driving INTO it is even more logical.

And your icon is awesome. I've just grown a big liking to the show that is House.
